Pipe Panic

Connect pipes to stay ahead of the flow! This fast-paced puzzle game is about placing down the pipe segments you're given to build a continuous pipeline as it fills with a mystery fluid. If you've played any version of Pipe Dream in the past, this is essentially a remake of the classic game.

Controls:

• Arrow keys: move cursor
• Enter: Choose option, place piece, replace piece
• Numpad +: Turbo mode

Guide:

At the beginning of the round, you are given a 30-second head start before the flow begins from the pipe flashing in green. The round ends once the fluid reaches the end of the pipeline. If the fluid has traveled through enough pipe segments, you win, and move on to the next level.

You earn points for each pipe segment the fluid travels through, plus bonuses for using special pieces and creating loops in the path. You'll encounter the following pipe pieces, delivered to you at random. Note that you are not allowed to rotate the pieces!

• Elbow pipes and straight pipes create a path for the fluid to travel.
• Cross pipes allow you to earn bonuses by creating loops for the fluid to travel through
• One-way pipes are worth twice as many points, but be careful which way they're pointing

If you make a mistake, you can overwrite an existing piece you've placed by placing another one on top of it. However, this takes precious time, and no other pieces can be placed while waiting.

When you're happy with the pipeline you've created, hit + on the numpad to enable turbo mode, which doubles the points you earn while filling up the pipes quickly.

There are also special fixed pieces that will be placed before starting a round:

• Start pipe: flashes green before fluid arrives
• End pipe: identical to the start pipe, but does not flash. If your pipeline ends here, this concludes the round and doubles your Loop Bonus, but make sure your pipeline is long enough, or you'll lose a life
• Reservoir: temporarily halts the progress of the fluid
• Pump: temporarily speeds up the progress of the fluid. Doubles the points scored while the pump is running
• Tunnel: teleports the fluid from one side of the grid to the other. These will always appear in pairs, on opposite walls.

Incorporating special pieces into a loop will earn multipliers for the loop bonus as well.

Game Modes:

• Regular Game: Starting from Level 1, meet the pipe length quota to continue to the next round! You have 3 chances; how far can you go?
• Level Select: Freely pick any level and flow speed. The game ends after each round.
